PHY 203 - Computational Lab Techniques(2) A hands-on experience in computational modeling in physics, materials science, and engineering. Students will use Density Functional Theory (DFT) and Molecular Dynamics (MD) simulations to study the properties of materials at the atomistic and electronic scales, with materials selected from basic metals, alloys, and complex materials to encompass applications in both physics and general engineering. Students will explore real-world problems in materials design using common computational modeling tools in research and industry. Cross-listed as: EGR 203 . Lab fee.
Prerequisite(s): PHY 122
