The course offers a close examination of seminal and current research undergirding evidence-based practices for instruction that positively impact student learning. Students analyze barriers to the implementation of evidence-based practices within educational organizations. They integrate the science of learning, the science of instruction, and a practice-based approach to teacher education to design a professional development plan or course specific to their context.
