CHE 645 - Radiobiology(3) This course has as its main purpose to present the student basics and introductory concepts from Physics, Chemistry and Biology regarding processes of damage produced by the interaction of ionizing radiation with living tissues. Also, students will understand the different types of health effects following different ionizing radiation doses and exposure scenarios. No previous background is needed.
At the end of the course, student will be able to explain what radiation is, how the different types of radiation differ, how the energy is transferred to matter and the consequences in a living organism of different levels of radiation. Cross-listed as: BIO 645 , PHY 645
