MPH 501 - Foundations of Public Health(3) An introduction to the field of public health. Topics include public health history, the core functions of public health, the science of prevention, and environmental health. Special emphasis is placed on understanding the role of the Christian church in public health history and using an ecological perspective to explain connections between ecosystem and human health.
