Students majoring in mathematics must complete the following courses, with no grade below C-minus in any course required for the major.

MAT 141 - Calculus I Credits: 4
MAT 142 - Calculus II Credits: 4
MAT 223 - Calculus III Credits: 2
MAT 225 - Differential Equations Credits: 4
MAT 231 - Transition to Higher Mathematics Credits: 2
MAT 232 - Linear Algebra Credits: 4
MAT 391 - Vocational Seminar Credits: 0
MAT 491 - Senior Seminar Credits: 2
CPS 121 - Introduction to Programming Credits: 4

One of the following courses:

PHY 121 - Introductory Physics I Credits: 4
NSM 202 - The Scientific Enterprise Credits: 4

Additional requirements:

All mathematics majors must also complete 16 additional credits in mathematics at the 300 level or above.

Double Major with Education

Requirements

Students double majoring in middle school or secondary education must complete

MAT 332 - Geometry Credits: 4
MAT 335 - Algebraic Structures Credits: 4
