Eight elective credits toward the history major may be fulfilled by language courses beyond the core requirement, either at the intermediate level of the core language or at the introductory level of a second language.

Early Christianity

The concentration (for history majors) and minor (for non-history majors) in Early Christianity introduces students to the world of the early church.  The program provides a historical context for the growth and global spread of Christianity and equips students with the analytical and language skills to pursue research on early Christian texts.
