Program Description

The liberal arts informs the Graduate Leadership program at Gordon College. Learning experiences are designed from a variety of perspectives within a Christian worldview, and students are encouraged to view issues and challenges through unique lenses allowing for divergent thinking and creative expression. Experiential learning is an integral component to help discover their God-given leadership skills.  Knowing themselves and their ability to examine the heart and head issues that detract from exemplary service is thoroughly integrated into the curriculum. This is accompanied by the development of effective conflict resolution skills, communication approaches, team management and introductions to the expectations of an educational leader. Veteran mentors partner with students and serve as supporters, sounding boards, encouragers, admonishers, and sharers of experiences. Additionally, experienced leaders from a myriad of professions share their journeys with the students. A biblical worldview permeates the leadership degree as students seek knowledge, clarity and guidance in their effort to fulfill the call of God on their lives.
