Middle School/Secondary Education and Special Education Licensure Program (5-12)

Requirements
Students seeking licensure as a Teacher of Students with Moderate Disabilities (5–12) must also complete an education major and a liberal arts major in a specific subject taught in grades 5–12 (such as math, English, history or science), complete the Core Curriculum of the College, maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.70 and earn a C or better in education classes. The student must apply for acceptance into the program during the sophomore year and must meet licensure requirements of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts at the time of program completion.✣ The SEI endorsement course is required. See departmental advisors.
