PSY 250 - Psychology of Memory(4) Examination of organization of cognitive functioning with particular emphasis on human memory and how information is perceived and processed. Studies most prominent features of human knowledge acquisition. Topics include short-term and permanent memories, retention and interference, and memory with and without awareness. Relevance of human memory to contemporary social issues (e.g., child sexual abuse and recovered memory/false memory controversy) also discussed.
