Develops practice and theory of painting and the communicative and spiritual potential it has as an embodied, responsive activity. Exploration of contemporary and historical approaches to figuration, representation, and abstraction will guide students in the development of individualized projects and research. Emphasis will be place on painting as an interdisciplinary approach that draws on other fields of study.
