This course examines the various laws that affect journalism and other communications professions. It includes the First Amendment, libel, privacy, telecommunications regulations, contempt and obscenity laws. The course is designed to introduce students to legal concepts pertinent to the communications industries. It will investigate the dynamic nature of the First Amendment.
