This course offers an overview of the Strategic Communication field, including the basic elements of campaign design, media relations, and influencer marketing; the role and responsibilities of a strategic communication practitioner; and the changing definitions of public relations within strategic communication and the ever-evolving media landscape. 

Prerequisite(s): COM 101 COM 152 ; or both a declared professional writing concentration/minor and ENG 210
