Surveys subcellular structures, composition and function at the molecular level. Emphasis given to regulatory mechanisms of genetic information flow from DNA to protein, cell-cell signaling and cell cycle control. Medical aspects of molecular biology discussed. (Alternate years. Not offered.) Lab fee.

Prerequisite(s): BIO 105, BIO 106, BIO 107, and BIO 108, or equivalent.
