POL 329 - Modern Political TheoryCredits: 4 A survey of major philosophers in Western political thought from Machiavilli to Marx. A central focus is on development of major political concepts (natural rights, popular sovereignty, constitutionalism, revolution) and theoretical questions, including the nature of politics, the relation between faith and theory, and sources of political authority.
