Explanation of Tuition and Fees
Graduate Education Tuition: Tuition for the graduate education programs is based on a per credit fee of $390; $1,170 per 3-credit course.
Gordon’s Graduate Education program offers a scholarship for full-time faculty employed in Christian schools. The Christian School Scholarship will apply to degree courses with the exception of any practica. If this discount applies to you, please complete the form found at www.gordon.edu/graduate/tuition once per academic year.
Supervising Practitioner Vouchers may be applied to 3-credit graduate courses with the exception of any practica and/or EDU 696 and EDU 697 courses. Administrative fees still apply.
Graduate Education General Administrative: A general administrative fee of $75 will be assessed each term to cover such items as College ID cards, an email account, library access and Lane Student Center usage. This fee does not include access to the Bennett Athletic and Recreation Center.
Bennett Center: Graduate students who wish to utilize the Bennett Center must sign up for a graduate student membership directly with the Bennett Center manager. Graduate student membership rates are established annually by the Bennett Center. The student should contact the Bennett Center manager for rate and membership information.
Billing: Students who have registered for courses will be billed at the beginning of each session through Transact on my.gordon.edu. Payments are due at the start of the semester. Payment plans are available through Transact.
Health Insurance: A health and accident insurance fee will be assessed for each residential student enrolled for 9 credits or more. This fee can be waived if prior to the start of classes the student provides proof of equivalent coverage. The rate is subject to change annually. College insurance is mandatory for all international graduate students.
Vehicle Registration: Every vehicle operated on campus by a graduate student must be registered with the Department of Public Safety. Parking passes are free and are issued for the academic year.
Application for Program Acceptance into Graduate Education: A one-time program application fee of $75 is due at the time of the formal application and is nonrefundable. The fee is not credited to the cost of registration.
Replacement Fee: Any official documents that are requested to be replaced will incur a $10 replacement fee.
Rush Fee: Returning students who register within five business days of the start of a course will be charged a rush fee of $25 per course. Registration is required to attend a class and receive credit.
Graduation: A graduation fee of $220 will be charged at the time of application for graduation. This fee will be applied toward: graduation audit and processing, administrative services, diplomas and diploma covers, and all Commencement activities.
Financial Aid
Student loans are available for those who qualify. Student loans can be used to cover the cost of tuition and fees, supplies and living expenses. Please contact the Student Financial Services Office or visit www.gordon.edu/graduate/loans.
Federal Direct Loans: Graduate students who register for at least 5 credits in a term and are matriculated into the program may apply for a Federal Direct Loan through the government’s Direct Loan Program. Payments and interest may be deferred during school enrollment. Loan amounts depend on the number of credits for which a student is registered. An annual limit of $20,500 applies.
Private Student Loans: Private student loans are available for students who do not wish to or are not eligible to borrow a Direct Loan. Loan limits vary by lender. To see Gordon’s preferred lender list and compare loan products, click on the Gordon College ELM portal at www.gordon.edu/altloans.
Payment Plans: Most Graduate Education courses qualify for a payment plan. The plan allows a bill to be extended over the length of the term, and enrollment is through Transact. For more information, visit www.gordon.edu/graduate/tuition.
Delayed VA Payments: Under S2248 PL 115-407 Section 103, Gordon College will not impose a late fee, denial of access to facilities, or other penalty against a veteran or eligible dependent due to a late payment of tuition and/or fees from the VA up to the certified benefits amount. Any portion of the student bill not covered by VA benefits is still expected to be settled by the due date.
