CSP 320 - International Business in ChinaCredits: 3 In this course, students hear talks covering issues such as fair and ethical business practices and the factors involved in out-sourcing jobs to China. Besides the basics of private and public business practice in China, students will focus on the cultural differences between the way Chinese and Americans do business. Students will prepare a paper in which they describe and analyze the differences in the way that an American or international company markets its products or its franchise in China. Overall, the goal is for students to understand the personal costs involved in approaching business overseas not simply as an investment, but as a calling.
