Digital Marketing and Communications (B.A.)

The Digital Marketing and Communications major helps students to master two distinct skillsets which are critical for a successful marketing project: business strategy and content creation. Students interweave these skillsets to understand and execute strategies for market development, messaging and branding, digital channels, web design, video, search and social media marketing. Graduates from this major will learn to think critically as Christians as they develop marketing strategies and create deliverables, while preparing for careers in the rapidly evolving field of digital marketing.

Practicum Requirement


One of the following options for a total of four (4) credits. 

Electives


Students in this major will take 12 credits of electives among Business (prefix ACC, BAN, ECO, ENT, FIN, MGT, MKT, or SPT) or Communication Arts (prefix ART or COM) courses.

  • Students must take at least 4 credits of elective credit in Business
  • Students must take at least 4 credits of elective credit in Communication Arts or Art

Notes:


Students must continuously maintain a 2.0 GPA within the major.

Double majors within the School of Business are allowed, but students must have at least four courses (16 credits) which are uniquely counted to each major. To complete a major and a minor which are both within the School of Business, at least two courses (8 credits) must be uniquely counted to the minor.

*The BUS 211  requirement can alternatively be satisfied through completion of MAT 220 - Biostatistics ; or MAT 318 - Probability  and MAT 319 - Statistics  ; or PSY 256 - Research Methods I  and PSY 257 - Research Methods II  or AP Statistics by permission.
