Data Science Minor

The data science minor, along with a suitable major, will prepare students for graduate level study and entry level positions in data science and data analysis.

Students will develop competency in:

• Programming in a computer language used in data science work. Currently this means the ability to work in Python and/or R;
• Statistical thinking and mathematical modeling;
• The use of machine learning software tools;
• Data management and the overall data science process, through project experience.
