Requirements

Students minoring in art are required to take 20 credits from the following:

Foundations (8 credits):

ART 102 - Drawing I 4 credits
ART 115 - Principles and Practicum 2 credits
ART 116 - Sketchbook Process and Practice 2 credits

Studio Practice (8 credits):

Two additional studio lab classes

Art History/Theory (4 credits)

One of the following:

ART 150 - Art History: Cave Art to Medieval 4 credits
ART 151 - Art History: Renaissance to Modern 4 credits
ART 152 - American Art History as Cultural Encounter 4 credits
ORV 355 - Renaissance Narrative 4 credits (Gordon In Orvieto)
ART 410 - Modern Art Seminar 4 credits
PHI 234 - Philosophy of Art and Beauty 4 credits
Art theory elective
