To minor in physics, students must complete the following requirements beyond PHY 121 and PHY 122. Additional physics training beyond this minimal level is strongly recommended.

Requirements

PHY 221 - Mathematical Methods in Physics I 4 credits
PHY 283 - Modern Physics 4 credits
PHY 284 - Modern Physics Laboratory 2 credits
PHY 293 - Mechanics 4 credits
PHY 294 - Mechanics Laboratory 2 credits
At least 6 additional credits of physics courses with course numbers greater than or equal to PHY 211, and as selected in consultation with your physics faculty advisor.
