To minor in physics, students must complete the following requirements beyond PHY 121 and PHY 122. Additional physics training beyond this minimal level is strongly recommended.

Requirements

PHY 221 - Mathematical Methods in Physics I Credits: 4
PHY 283 - Modern Physics Credits: 4
PHY 284 - Modern Physics Laboratory Credits: 2
PHY 293 - Mechanics Credits: 4
PHY 294 - Mechanics Laboratory Credits: 2
At least 6 additional credits of physics courses with course numbers greater than or equal to PHY 211, and as selected in advisement with your physics faculty advisor.
