ESL Minor

The ESL minor provides a comprehensive and sequential approach to studying ESL theory, Sheltered English Instruction (SEI), ESL methodology and assessment, and ESL-related policy. It provides a focused and systematic preparation for the ESL MTEL exam and is intended to meet all MA DESE requirements for ESL licensure. This minor is limited to education majors. Other students interested in teaching English to speakers of other languages may complete the TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) minor.
