Requirements
Students majoring in art are required to complete the following courses (32 credits) in addition to one of the concentrations listed below. Approved courses from off campus may be substituted for electives in concentrations.
Foundations (16 credits):
Art History/Theory (8 credits):
Two of the following: Senior Capstone Requirement (8 credits):
Fine Art Studio Concentration
12 credits of studio courses chosen with the student’s faculty advisor.
Design Studio Concentration
Students pursuing the art major with a concentration in design studio must complete the following courses (16 credits) including an approved internship within a design-related environment:
Art and Education Double Major
Requirements
Students pursuing the art major with a concentration in art education must complete the following courses: Foundations (12 credits):
Art History/Theory (12 credits):
Practicum
In lieu of a thesis, students following this program will complete a practicum through the education department appropriate to their licensure requirements.
