Philosophy (B.A.)

April 25, 2018:  Requirements for the philosophy major were revised and streamlined in December 2017 and made retroactive for students under this catalog who were enrolled at that time. Please see the 2018-19 catalog for the revised requirements.

Requirements


A major in philosophy consists of 40 credits excluding PHI 118 .

Knowledge, Truth and Method (12 credits):

Senior Seminar (4 credits):


Double Majors


Students who have declared a major in philosophy and wish to add a second major, or students who have declared another major and wish to add philosophy as a second major, must meet the following requirements:

  • Two additional philosophy courses at the 200 level or above.
