SOC 385 - Social Theory

4 credits

The first half of the course will examine the foundational figures of social theory (Marx, Durkheim, Weber, and Simmel). Having established a solid understanding of these figures, the second half of the course investigates some of the important developments in current social theory.

Prerequisite(s): A 100-level sociology course.
