PHY 339 - Electric and Magnetic Fields I

Theory of electrostatics; dielectrics; magnetostatics; dia-, para- and ferromagnetism; induction; Maxwell’s equations. Three 50 minute lectures, one recitation per week. Must be taken concurrently with PHY 338. (Alternate years. Not offered.)
