MPH 505 - Introduction to Health Policy

3 credits

An introductory study of public health policies. Topics covered include the policy-making process, building coalitions, advocating for policies and programs to improve health, and evaluating the effects of policies on health equity. Special emphasis will be placed on communicating health information effectively and the importance of cultural competence.
