FRE 677 - French Literature of the Middle Ages

3 credits

Provides an overview of the greater literary works of the Middle Ages including epic poetry, the beginnings of the novel, passion plays and farces and poetry. Student reports as well as “explications de texte” and a paper or presentation will be required. Some attention will be given to culling segments of the works for use in the public school setting.
