FRE 660 - Francophone CivilizationCredits: 3 The goal of this course is to develop an advanced knowledge of the French language and Francophone cultures. The knowledge will be developed in five areas: listening, speaking, reading, writing and cultural competence. Students will practice and improve their oral and written communication skills in the target language while learning facts about contemporary Francophone countries and using higher order thinking skills in their analyses of cultural differences. Students will also be able to contrast French and Francophone cultures and religions and compare them with their own cultural habits.
